Stephen Pressfield is an author, screenwriter, and director. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller The War of Art (which was adapted into a feature film starring Steve Carell), Tides of War (a historical novel about the war against the British in the American Revolution), The Virtues of War (about the wars fought by Alexander the Great),  The Prince of Tides, The Killing Zone,  and The Legend of Bagger Vance. His first novel, The Hero with a Thousand Faces was published in 1975. He has also written ten screenplays.
